When we first introduced the fandomcovidmemorial a few weeks ago, nobody had posted there yet -- after all, it was brand new! Since then, a handful of posts have gone up, and some other fans have commented on those posts to offer support and share grief. Some people have written about the deaths of loved ones; others about the loss of treasured experiences or communities, or the loss of progress or opportunities that were important to them.
If you would like a place to connect with other fans who have suffered losses during the pandemic, now is a great time to drop by the comm again and see what others have contributed. Whether or not you have a story of your own to share -- and whether or not you feel ready to share your story -- you may find it helpful to offer presence and comfort to others, or just to read those posts and know that others are struggling as you are.
