Fandom Trumps Hate

Someone over on Tumblr pointed out that there's a problem with the Border Angels website - it looks like their security certificate expired yesterday. While you can still access the site if you tell your browser to override that, this means that information submitted to the site is currently not transmitted securely, meaning that it would not be safe to make a donation through the site.

I've contacted them to let them know about the issue, so hopefully they will have it fixed in time for our donations! We're not taking them off the list just yet, in case they do fix it.

But for right now, we're advising that if you're signing up as a creator, you should not put Border Angels as the only org you will support. That way, if they don't get around to fixing it, your bidder will have at least one other choice to donate to!

ETA: Just heard back from them, they are hoping to get this issue fixed within the next week! We'll keep you updated, but for now we still recommend not choosing them as your only option, just in case.

Edit 1/22/19: Their website is working again, and appears to be ready to take donations!
