This series reimagines Arthurian legend wherein the future King Arthur and wizard Merlin are young contemporaries. Arthur's father Uther Pendragon has banned magic in Camelot, forcing Merlin to keep his magical powers secret and act as Prince Arthur’s servant. Over the course of the series the two form a deep friendship as Arthur grows into the mighty king in the legends, and Merlin begins to recast Camelot into power with his developing skills.
